Hurrah for the youth of Egypt! Hurrah for their planning, their perseverance and their nonviolence. We only hope the future brings them Democracy.
It seems possible that in Egypt and then possibly in the entire Middle East there may be one of those rare moments of human achievement; an awakening like the renaissance or the enlightenment when man rises above his selfish and violent nature producing something wonderful and worthwhile.
Enjoy Egypt. A renaissance is fleeting. We hope you achieve, even if briefly, a true democracy and not a junta or a dumbocracy or an oligopolisty (think Sarah Palin as we invent this word) of entrenched selfish self-centered sleaze like we have here in the good old Land of The Free, Home of the brave, USA.
Just imagine if this populist uprising occurred here in the United States. With our millions of guns (over 200 million), ignorance, and anger, Americans would have found themselves behaving as the mob. Surely the blood would have flown as gun toting tea party rage morphed into violent chaos. The youth of Egypt are an example to the world. The citizens of the United States would not have been able to rise to their passivity.
